Sainsbury’s at the Heart of Kensal Canalside

A brand new Sainsbury’s supermarket at the centre of Kensal Canalside, showcasing our very latest format and range of high quality, great value products we have to offer as part of our commitment to provide Good food for all of us. Keeping the existing store open during the redevelopment of the site is a key principle at the core of Sainsbury's and Ballymore's proposals and Sainsbury's will continue to serve and help our customers in the community throughout the entire construction period.  

In the first phase of works, we will build a brand-new supermarket next to the existing store and only once we have finished the new store will we close existing store. All the colleagues will move into the new store ready to welcome our customers to an exciting destination. We plan to ensure a seamless transition that will mean customers are never without a Sainsbury’s supermarket at the heart of the development.
