Community

We have a long running sponsorship agreement with the London Sport Trust, and during the last few years, we have hosted numerous community days at the Canalside Activity Centre organised by London Sports Trust where we met families and young children from the local area. Food, games, competitions and water sports activities were organised and provided. We have also funded multiple programmes such as ‘Think Adventure, Skills for Life, Young Ambassador, Active Communities’ etc.

We believe supporting younger generations is essential for ensuring a positive future for them, and for the rest of the community which is why we are proud to be partnering with the charity to provide funding and company support. We will also be re-providing the Activity Centre as multi-sport facility and maintaining the relationship through design, planning and construction phases.

London Sports Trust

London Sports Trust aims to inspire positive change for disadvantaged young Londoners through the power of sport, training and life skills to improve life outcomes as well as physical and mental health. We believe in young people's capacity to aspire and achieve to maximise their potential despite the barriers they face.

London Sports Trust will use the funding for:​

  • Educational and sports programmes at Canalside Activity Centre and across London

  • Coaching courses to become sports coaches and youthworkers

  • Field Trips along the Grand Union Canal, River Thames, Lee Valley and Wales​

  • Lifeskills courses to help young people live independent lives learning DIY, cooking, communication and finance skills

  • Free event days for families in the community with activities for children of all ages​

Apprenticeships and Employment Opportunities

  • Ballymore has a Local Labour and Employment Programme which will serve the surrounding four boroughs, by providing apprenticeships and employment opportunities

  • Through our programme young people can apply and start an apprenticeship at the construction site including bricklaying, painting, plumbing, decorating, groundwork and carpentry

  • We can provide additional support in English and Maths for entry level apprentices

  • We can provide training, support and mentoring for apprentices

  • We will work with Local Authority, Community Groups and colleges.
