Gift of portraits for current and future generations

Late last year, in partnership with London Sports Trust, we held a special event with documentary photographer Jason Wilde for local children and their families.

The event, which took place at The Boathouse and included a number of fun activities, culminated in portraits being taken of the families who attended.

Jason’s brilliant images, which were printed, framed and presented as gifts, work in two very special ways:

  • For parents and guardians, they are a keepsake of a special time in the lives of their children; and

  • For the children, the images will, in years to come, act be a reminder of their time growing up in Kensal and the surrounding area.

We have a great relationship with London Sports Trust and are always keen to support their work in the local community.

This event gave us the chance to give something back to current and future residents of the site – after all, we are building homes and opportunities for future generations.

To create a neighbourhood where people want to live, work and flourish – now and in the future – we need to make sure our plans deliver everything a new community needs to thrive. This includes:

  • 2,519 much-needed new homes, including a minimum of 500 affordable homes

  • New shops and workplaces, including a brand new Sainsbury’s store and café

  • Attractive public areas and landscaped green spaces

  • New neighbourhood for everyone to enjoy including a new community hub.

We were delighted to support this special event alongside London Sports Trust and Jason Wilde, whose fantastic work brought everything to life.

We look forward to undertaking similar community-minded endeavours in the future.
